"Pangman, rightly known as Canada's Sweetheart of Swing, went to New Orleans and with a local combo there recorded an EP of songs cut live to a 78-rpm disc. The result on CD has a beguiling kind of spumante pop, with a lovely rough feel. It is, actually, like a short, blissful drinking session. There's Sweethearts On Parade, that snappy, roughish Guy Lombardo chestnut from 1928 and a wondrous version of the standard It's The Talk of the Town that becomes an epic of regret and qualms". Globe & Mail's John Doyle.
This album of original music is amazing from start to end. You'd never know it wasn't written in 1931. Transcontinental is brilliant, The arrangements & Laura's singing are so in the style and fresh! Alex Pangman

Glenn Crytzer gathered a cadre of great jazz musicians for the dual purpose of bringing joy to their audience and income to the out-of-work performers. This album exudes so much goodwill, merriment and musicality! It's not just a great album, it's also a remarkable recording considering each of the "secluded seven" recorded their parts individually, yet they sound so tight. Go pick up your copy! It will make you so happy! Jeudi
