about

When Pangman noticed that a lot of her favourite songs were popular in 1933, she ran with the idea. This album features songs popular in the year 1933, except for As Lovely Lovers Do, which Pangman wrote when she was 33. This was her first record for Justin Time Records, made after her recovery from double lung transplant, and it's full of sparkle, sincerity, and joy, backed by her stacked Toronto band, The Alleycats.

"Ebullient....Pangman and Her Alleycats party like it's 1933."
USA Today

"It would be hard to find a box of musical bonbons more beguiling than this collection of post-Jazz Age treats...Her earnest vocals and sharp Alleycats band make each song sparkle."
Toronto Star
